About 6 to 8 months ago my fixed female cat started having little red sores appear on her spine beginning at her tail and working their way to about mid-torso. these spots were kind of obvious because along with them came thinning of her hair in those places. I have already experienced the fact that she has sensitive skin and can not use any flea treatments that are put along her spine, not that she has ever had any flea problems. Now about 7 to 10 days ago she started having blood show up on her poop. Her poops are formed, but on the softer side and the blood looks like it is mixed with mucus and just kind of laying on top of her poop - never intermixed in it. She still has a healthy appetite, drinks plenty of water, urinates regularly, and has a bowel movement at least everyday. Please help me in figuring out what is wrong with my cat. Oh yeah, no-she has absolutely no signs of any type of worms. She will be 6 years old on September 25, 2006.
