my cat 12 yrs, has been taking leukeran/chlorambucil for about 2 months,01gms. every other day, the last 3 weeks he has refused to eat any foods, he does drinks water, I give him nutri-cal three times aday to replace his foods, hes been given cyproheptadine to make him eat, still wouldn't, given a shot to eat. His blood platelets are back to normal,he had Hmmune deficiency, took Kafex to long , narely killed him , had to have his system flushed out, blood platelets went back to nearlt normal, then was put on leukeroan. now he won't eat at all, losing lot of weight. Should he be taken off leukeran for a few weeks, see if will start eating, keeping close check on his blood count? OR is there some way to make him eat, or is the pills making him not eat?

You can ask your vet about inserting a feeding tube to allow you to fill the stomach with specially prepared food.
