Question

My pet raccoon is having what appears to be mild

Sent to Cat Experts May 17, 2006 2:48 p.m.

My pet raccoon is having what appears to be mild seizures. He also acts like it is painful for him to urinate and defecate. He was completely fine yesterday. Last night we had a lot of rain, and his house got water inside. I also found lots of feces in the water in his house. He usually drinks any water he sees, so could he have been poisoned from his own feces? Any ideas what may be wrong?

Its not likely his own feces would have poisoned him but if he has not had shots against distemper (bot dog and cat kind) and other contagious diseases he may have come down with a disease.
You can read here about raccoon diseases and vaccination. They also need to be wormed.
