my older cat (10) has yellow eyes. One eye is changing color. He doesn't act sick or in pain or gives any appearance that the eye bothers him in any way or that his vision is effected. It isn't effecting the shape of the eye. I thought it looked like a mote but it is spreading over the yellow considerably.

Not the whites of the eye, no. The color of his eyes are yellow like mine are blue or someone elses may be brown.

Unfortunately, you're not going to be able to get an answer to this over the 'net. Just some ideas.

You will want to see the vet right away for an ocular exam. The vet might even want to stain the eye. This could be a corneal scratch, ulcer or any number of other issues.

So, be sure and see your vet today.

Let me know if you need more help.
