My cat has a boil like sore on his rear left hip that has burst and is draining. It is about the size of a 50 cent piece. I am on a fixed income and can not afford a vet. We only have 11 in my town anyway. Do you have any idea what this might be and how I could treat it at home? He lost hair on this spot first and now the skin is coming off. He is still eating; he doesn't have a fever and he is playing and cuddling. I am keeping him in the house and isolated just in case it is contagious. I live on $650 a month so I am desperate.
