My newly adopted male cat from the shelter came home with a ...

Sent to Cat Experts April 23, 2006 1:18 p.m.

My newly adopted male cat from the shelter came home with a cold. I took him to the vet and they gave me antihistamine and antibiotic medication for the cat. My cat "Fred" isn't sneezing and drooling so much now since 3 days from the vet visit, but still he isn't eating only drinking a little water. I don't know what to do...he's very thin now compared to when I brought him home. I changed up the food from dry to wet and even used the shelter food, but how can I make him eat if he's not interested at all?
Does he need food to get well too?

Can you please tell me what antibiotics were prescribed for Fred?
How many doses has he had?
What is the name of the food you are trying to feed him?
How old is he?
