Dear Lynn,
Initially, I would put Smokey on 3 weeks of clavamox (antibiotic) in case this is caused by an abcessed tooth or dental infection. Your veterinarian should also consider steroids to try to shrink this growth.
If it turns out to be malignant you can give Smokey interferon as this has been used with great success in cats. Animals do not get sick from chemo the way humans do and actually tolerate it wery well.
You can also look at the homeopathic products on the folowing websites:

www.AllergicPet.com

www.onlynaturalpetstore.com

www.nativeremedies.com

If your own veterinarian is not helpful, see a specialist. When you have a beloved pet, you MUST exhaust every option in an effort to help her get well.
I will be praying fo an Easter miracle for Smokey. Please let me know what happens.
Very sincerely,
Terri
