my cat is 2 years old. i got him when he was 9 weeks old ...

my cat is 2 years old. i got him when he was 9 weeks old and everything has been fine with him up until a week ago. All of a sudden he has started hissing and biting everyone (me included) and just freaking out. I took him to the vet a few days ago and he said eveything was ok and to cover the windows and lock him in a room. He acted normal for 2 days and now he's freaking out again. The doctor says maybe he has a brain tumor and we should do a cat scan (no pun intended). But I don't have the money for that. Any suggestions? He said also that maybe he needs anti-depressants.

Was he outdoors?
Do you have other pets?
Does he have any potty problems?
Is he eating normally?

Relist: I still need help.
he is nutered. He's eating and drinking fine.
But he has started peeing everywhere and he never use to do that. Only in the litter box.
I can't keep him if he keeps up this violent behavior. No there are no other pets and he doesn't go outside.

Yes he is neutered. No he doesn't go outside.
He's eating and drinking normally. He's started peeing EVERYWHERE! He use to only go in the litter box. He has become so violent that I will not be able to keep him if this doesn't resolve itself. Please help! I hate seeing him like this. He is just freaking out!!
