I have a 5 year old female cat, indoor, never been fixed. She has recently started showing signs of starting a periods. In addition I just brought some cat nip home and put it in a toy and have read just today that cat nip can initiat the onset of a cats period. I am a little concerned because she has a little black seepage from her eyes and black stuff on her nose. Is this just a cats period or should I bring her in to a vet. Aside from these things she appears to be somewhat normal. Maybe a little more frequently drinking and a little more tired than usual. What should I do?
