my cat recently starting biting herself. i thought it was separation anxiety because my son was gone for a week, but he's back now. she's taken to hiding under a dresser and she's chewed most of the hair from the underside of her tail. she's also biting her hindquarters raw. i've seen her bite herself before when someone was gone, but never this bad. could something else be wrong?
