my cat dixie has a knot on her belly' its only came up in the last 4 weeks, her vet wants to do a biopsy, is this safe? if tjey put her under is that safe, dixie is 7 yrs. old and nerver been operated on,this really scares me so let me know what i should do thanks

Can you describe the "knot"?
As to color, size, exact location, hard or soft, fluid filled, etc?
