My cat seems to be losing weight in the last week. He is not as active as he usually is. He will drink water today but will not eat much. What can be wrong?

He is a year and a half old. HI have a door so he is able to come and go. I usually feed him dry cat food. He does catch small critters and eats them. His is not overweght.
