Dear friend,
Your cat either has a upper respiratory or other infection (cat cold) or has ingested a toxic sunbstance. The glassy eyes may indicate a fever.
Do not let him go outside. If he feels hot, wipe him down with a cool damp cloth and then wrap him in a towel so he does not chill.
He may not be eating because he cannot smell his food or because he is feeling vey ill.
Warm 8oz of water - add a pinch of salt and sugar and give him one dropper every 15 minutes for a hour. Water down canned cat food to a gruel and give him one dropper every twenty minutes for an hour after the water.
If he begins to vomit or does not show rapid improvement after this treatment or becomes faint or has seizures or you think he licked antifreeze or other toxin you MUST get him to the ER immediately.
Please let me know if you have any more questions about this. I will be happy to help in any way possible.
Please let me know how your cat is doing.
