what causes bad gas in a young cat or kitten?

we just got a stray kitten we wormed her and got her kitty food but she has really foul gas, she gets plenty of water, i have another cat , and have had other cats in the past but have never had a problem like this. it makes my kids not want to play with her and she is really loving
