my nine month male neutered cat s right eye looked glassed

Sent to Cat Experts December 15 10:41 PM

My nine month male neutered cat's right eye looked glassed over this morning and did not seem to dilute like his other. This evening he keeps it close and his face seems to be swollen around the eye. No discharge or blood seen.

Reply to Terri Riba's Post: He does go outside. He was out Sunday came in early evening seemed just fine. Monday he acted like he wasn't feeling well did not eat laid on a chair all day. Next day he seemed alittle better but not as perky as he normally is, did eat and after he was back to hiself. But today the eye problem. No he was not around any other cats that I know of, we live in an area that is very rural and does not look to have been in any fights.

It sound more like an eye injury than an infection but it could be either. You will want the vet to see him tomorrow because illness or injury anything with the eyes is potentilly serious. He could lose his sight if it is not attended to quickly.I'm thinking injury because of the lack of dilutation. It could have been an animal as even racoons will swipe at cats. There are also Human creeps ou there. So please take him in first thing tomorrow.Good Luck. Let me know how he is after the vet sees him,

Thank you Terri, I do plan on taking him to the vet tomorrow, just worried and was trying to get some info. He's not very active laid around all day did not eat and I was worried about pain. I'll let you know what the vet says. Thanks again.
