my cat had 2kittens her first litter, they were fine. She had 4 her 2nd time and they seemed healthy except they all had fleas like mom and their brother from first birth. They have been dueing fine until Sunday we lost 2 and today already lost one. They just turned 4wks yesterday can you tell me why they are dying I have never had this happened to any cats I have raised in the past, except for 2 little strays that were born around the time my cat had her first 2 and they both died I bottle fed them and everything I thought it was because they were strays but now mine are dying this time like those did. Please tell me what could cause this sudden death out of healthy kittens. Thank you B aka my10angels2004@yahoo.com

Kittens can quickly succumb to flea anemia so this very well may be your cause if the kittens have fleas. I suggest that you see the vet immediately for some flea prevention for the remaining cats. Capstar can be used on young kittens and will eliminate the fleas within 3 hours of its use.

Aside from that, you also have to worry about parasites, FIV/FelV and other contagious diseases that come with cats that have not been vaccinated.

No matter what, you need to get some capstar from the vet and start using it. You will also need to treat the sleeping areas and then go from there.

Let me know if you still have questions.
