Feline Cystitis

My cat had cystitis a few weeks ago and go over it. He started again three days ago straining to urinate. He goes just a drop or two. I have him on amoxi drops now but it has been three days and he is still straining. His lymph nodes are swollen but he has a normal tempertature. Should I have him seen now or will he be okay giving a few more days to let the meds work? Iam afraid he'll get to filled up.
