Question

Kitty intestine problem?

Sent to Cat Experts June 16, 2005 3:56 p.m.

We just got a little kitty and she is having a hard time going #2. She tries and tries but nothing, she moves her little hips and gives painful sounding meows. Her exit "vent" seems to be very large for a kitten her age and it seems to be leaking. The lady we got her from says that she has been eating cat food for awhile, which I think may have something to with it as she seems to be younger than 8 weeks. I thought maybe she had worms but since there is no poo to inspect, I can't be sure. Please, does anyone have any suggestions? I am going to try to find cat formula to give her to see if that helps, I just worry b/c she hasn't had a movement since we got her (Tuesday) and the lady didn't say anything about no movements(maybe she didn't know).
Thank you so much for your help!
