cat wound

my cat had got bitten by a stray male cat on her back side...it grew to a huge lump...i cleaned her wound and seems to be doing better...the color of her wound worries me though....its black in color around the punture hole...was that from the swelling?? what else can i do for her?

This usually means that the skin is dry around the edges. It could also be an infection brewing.

I suggest that you clean the wound well with betadine or peroxide. Then dry it well and clip away all the hair. Then apply some neosporin.

If you don't see improvement, you will need to see your vet for antibiotics.
