I have a 18 year old male cat. He has always been an indoor cat, was fixed at 6 months and has never had any health problems. He has not been to vets since he was 1 year old. Recently within the last 4 weeks he has been pooping on my floors and couch. Sometimes he will go in the litter box, but mostly on the floor. He still urinates in the box and I keep it clean. We have not changed cat litter, so I'm a little confused and not sure what to do about this.
