One of my Maine Coon Queens is 4 weeks pregnant and she has quite severe mammary hyperplasia .previously her mother had this condition when pregnant and her skin started to break down so she was treated with Alizin .This should have aborted the pregnancy but we were lucky and the condition was treated successfully and she still had 2 healthy kittens .FAB assured my vet that this condition was not hereditary so I have now mated one of her daughters who is suffering the same thing. Is thereanything that I can do to help her condition besides the hormone treatment? her mother is now proving to be quite a problem in as much as she has just lost two litters at around 5-6 weeks of pregnancy and I dont know if the hormone treatment she had is responsible for this . I can't have too many breeding queens and I just adore the girls I have so I am trying to do what is best all round but I dont know what IS best .Some breeders just let them continue untill they have had the kittens.

I'm sorry you feel I don't have any new information for you. I'm not going to make stuff up just give you the facts which you have researched pretty well yourself.
If you want to see if alternative medicine will help your cat through this then the best option is to find a holistic vet in your area to work with. This site may help you do that

I usually look at all the practitioners in the state to see who might be good to work with.
I do know how hard it is to end a bloodline and start over but in my experience it is far better to do that than to continue to produce offspring with problems.
